Welcome to the Peninsula Virginia Chapter of the National Organization for Women. Our members are generally from all areas of the Hampton Roads Peninsula. We strive to create a diverse membership that will represent all women from all walks of life in our area.
All women face discrimination but that discrimination plays out differently for women based on race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexuality, gender expression and religious affiliation among other things. This concept is called intersectional feminism and we hope to draw members from all corners of our community to work towards equality in every sense for every woman.
We invite and encourage men to join us as well! It is impossible to achieve equality without changing the hearts and minds of men and working to end toxic masculinity.
